What is the North Bay Construction Corps? It’s a construction career exploration opportunity and a basic skills training program for North Bay high school seniors in their last semester. It prepares young people for a rewarding career in the building industry.
The 14-week Corps program starts in January and ends in May, followed by a two-week Boot Camp in June. The goal is to prepare the young men and women students who participate for entry-level positions in the high-paying, gratifying world of construction.
The students meet one night a week and one Saturday a month to develop building skills and experience with hand tools and heavy equipment. The training sessions are conducted by local construction industry professionals to ensure that students are getting real-world instruction.
There are Chapters in four counties: Sonoma, Napa, Lake and Marin. Applications are available now. If you have questions, please contact Robin Bartholow, NBCC Director or Kassandra Villaseñor, NBCC Administrative Assistant at (707) 542-9502.
